Welcome

I'm Ashley Cook, owner of Nature's Remedies LLC, I provide natural and holistic healthcare that combines ancient traditions with modern techniques. With over 15 years of experience in the alternative health field including massage therapy, yoga, reiki and spirituality, I have come to understand the importance of naturopathy, especially in today's world. My natural approach is designed to promote healing, reduce symptoms and improve overall health and vitality.

My Philosophy

My philosophy is grounded in the belief that the body has the innate ability to heal itself when given the right support. Much like other ancient medical practices such as Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, naturopathy understands that when disease or illness is present, the whole person is sick, not just the physical body, organ or system. Healing is necessary on all levels of existence including the emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical. Naturopathy is a system of study that believes disease can be prevented or reversed without the use of pharmaceuticals which have now been proven to weaken our immune systems making us more susceptible to illness.

Epigenetics is a field of science that studies gene expression in relationship to behavior and environment. Naturopathy supports this field by examining an individual's internal and external environment. As a naturopathic practitioner I narrow down this environment to the 8 Natural Laws of Health or the 8 Doctors which are pure air, clean water, nutrition, exercise, sleep, sunlight, temperance, and trust in God. Temperance encompasses mental health and trust in God is the simple belief that God makes no mistakes. Humans were designed to heal themselves naturally and/or with the aid of nature and when we live how God intended us to live, we become healthier.

It is my strong belief that the state of our health reaches far beyond the individual. Our health dictates how we show up in the world. It contributes to how we communicate, how healthy our personal and professional relationships are, and whether or not we are able to fulfill our purpose and passions. Bad health can interfere with the life we were gifted and intended to live, and which, knowing what that personally feels like, I love helping others heal from the inside out so they can continue to live their purpose.
